Who We Are & What We Do...
One of the things Passing on the Trades is doing for at-risk youth and the non-profits who help them is hold masonry workshops on the non-profit organization's property.
Below is one of our masonry workshops at Parrot Creek Child & Family Services. These youth got to experience some serious team work while building a fire-pit for themselves and the staff at Parrot Creek Ranch to enjoy! Materials for the fire-pit were donated by our friends at Mutual Materials.
The following is a testimony from Parrot Creek...
"The youth have really enjoyed the times Leanne and Chris have been out. It is good for them to hear success stories and know that there are alternatives for them.
Many of our youth feel that success in school is beyond them and society does not often talk about trades as an alternative. Chris shows them that not only is working with your hands cool it is also a career that will allow them success financially and an end product to be proud of.
Working with Chris was both fun for the youth and educational, they also now have an fire pit to be proud of. Who doesn't like toasting marshmallows at the end of the day?
Once again thank you for the time you both have spent out here." ~Neil, Director
